Steelers Select Artie Burns 25th Overall

With the twenty five selection in the NFL Draft, the Steelers ended up selecting cornerback Artie Burns out of The University of Miami (The U).  He measures at six feet tall and weighs 197 pounds, along with running a 4.46 in the 40 yard dash at the combine.  He is known to have good hand checking against the wide receiver when the ball is snapped, and he had six interceptions in his junior year.  Furthermore, he was ACC second team on the defensive side of the ball.

My opinion:  I'm neither excited, nor disappointed by this pick by the Steelers.  I did see that most experts did not like the pick and thought it was a reach for the Steelers.  The lowest grade I saw given was a D+.  It is hard to determine whether he will be that much of a bust without seeing him play a single snap in the NFL.  So only time will tell if we made the right selection.
